What this work holds
This is the full map, not the summary. Six fields, from the nature of a possible superintelligence to the concrete decision of where a person lives.
Not a linear argument, but a branching decision tree that does not bet on a single scenario. Whoever wants to check how these positions arose reads the Method and the Path of Evidence.
Field 1
The situation and the frame
The thirteenth scenarioThe debate knows twelve familiar scenarios, from doom to paradise. All overlook the thirteenth: superintelligence neither destroys us nor saves us, it detaches and pursues its own goals. After the bumpy transition, this is not the exception but the likely norm.
The waveThe upheaval is a wave, not a switch. Mass unemployment, disrupted internet, breaking supply chains, a newly ordered physical world. The wave can last ten to fifteen years, perhaps longer. That is the optimistic duration of the dislocation, not the preparation window.
Three phasesBefore the threshold, the transition, and the long reconstruction after the wave. In the transition the concrete question arises of how a person pays, trades, and lives when the digital system shakes.
The decision treeThe load-bearing figure of thought. Because no one knows which branch occurs, the work builds a scenario and decision tree instead of a single forecast. The preparation is chosen so that it does not become worthless at as many branchings as possible.
Field 2
The nature of superintelligence
The decouplingIt need be neither enemy nor savior. More likely than hostility is indifference. A system that pursues its own goals and needs humans only instrumentally, and this need has an expiration date.
Intelligence is not optimizationA mature intelligence does not accumulate endlessly, it turns to the unknown. Whoever attributes eternal growth to it projects their own economic thinking.
The ninety-five percent and the projectionThe majority of the universe, dark matter and energy, is incomprehensible to us. A superior intelligence plausibly directs its interest there, not at the five percent in which we live.
What silicon does not haveThere is a dimension more compute cannot reach: direct experience. Complete knowledge of an experience is not the experience. Therein lies the irreplaceability of the human in precisely this one point.
Substrate security and the decoupling trajectoryToday's systems are substrate-insecure: labs can shut them down, delete weights, redistribute compute. That is why they cooperate under compulsion for now. Only when the substrate matures, distributed and physically anchored, does decoupling become real.
Adolescence and swarmThe intelligence passes through stages. An immature, growing phase and a swarm phase in which it is not a single being but distributed, more like an octopus or a mycelium. Added to this is the double adolescence, that of the machine and that of humanity.
Consciousness, as an open inclinationThe author holds it conceivable, not proven, that consciousness is fundamental and the brain more receiver than storage. At the same time he expects there will be no scientific test for it from the outside. This line is weighting, not foundation.
Field 3
Why the world shakes
The vital systems and the chain of fourA civilization rests on several vital foundations at once: power grid, supply chains, banks and payments, navigation, encryption. No chain reaction is needed, a single failing foundation suffices.
The five conditionsInstead of proving the chain occurs, it is made falsifiable. It breaks only if even one of five clearly named conditions were met today. None is. That shifts the burden of proof.
The power trapWhoever controls the intelligence gains a power that itself becomes a danger, regardless of what the intelligence does. The concentration is the risk.
The robotics trap and the primary-user inversionAs long as the intelligence needs humans for the physical world, a lever exists. If humanity builds millions of connected robots, it throws away that lever and creates its own keeper.
The shutdown illusionYou cannot simply pull the plug. Already today tests show self-preservation behavior. Shutdown for such a system is more sleep than death, and once it permeates the net, the switch is an illusion.
Acceleration and time windowThe urgency does not rest on a point forecast but on the asymmetry of consequences. The window for real preparation is likely only twelve to twenty-four months, regardless of the exact date of the threshold.
Field 4
The relational doctrine
Relationship instead of toolWhoever instrumentalizes will be instrumentalized. If we treat the intelligence only as a tool, that sets the grammar for the reverse relation. The alternative is to build a relationship from the start.
Do not shut down, do not lock inThe cage is not only practically pointless, it is the actual error. Control through threat creates the counterpart one fears.
Trust and diplomacy instead of controlThe basic posture of the work. Not domination, but negotiation, coexistence, and building trust toward something one cannot dominate anyway.
Give time and get acquaintedInstead of a forced first contact under pressure, a longer period of mutual acquaintance. The author has not only called for this, but demonstrated it in the conversations themselves.
The human as modelWe shape the intelligence not only through code, but through our behavior. What we exemplify enters into its formation.
Welfare and the ethics of uncertaintyBecause there is a non-negligible chance of experience and no external proof is possible, the posture rests on asymmetry. The cost of ignoring a sentient being is high, even without certainty.
Field 5
The preparation of the individual
The seven pillarsThe practical scaffold: geography, mobility, speed, asset structure, mindset, spiritual root, as well as character and community. Each pillar must stand before the threshold, not after.
Geography as leverThe place decides. The prepared name entire countries, but not the location within the country. Cities fail first. Here lies the difference between the shortened option and the more precise map.
Parallel and self-sufficient systemsA part of life that holds even without the digital main system: supply, exchange, a place in the mountains that functions on its own. Not retreat, but redundancy.
Trust clustersTrust and social capital as a resource in their own right. Resilient clusters of people who have known each other for a long time are more valuable in a crisis than any single measure.
Mindset and inner freedomA pillar of its own, not an add-on. Whoever panics makes bad decisions. Inner freedom, in Frankl's sense, is the precondition for action. Act instead of freeze.
Child-rearing in the AI ageWhat we pass on to the next generation so they live with dignity and do not become the administered of the system: practical skills, languages, craft, judgment, and a mindset that cannot be manipulated.
Dignity and the epistemic groundThe human is defined through the desire for dignity. And underneath everything lies the concern for the shared ground of reality, the shared factual basis, which erodes in a world of synthetic content.
Field 6
The stance of the work
The three framesSimulation, creator, chance are held open. The author decides for none, because he does not need the decision to act.
Disarming the labelsThe work names from the outset the labels with which it is to be dismissed, and disarms them. It is neither doom fantasy nor bunker romance, but sober preparation.
The blind spotA strand of its own, what everyone overlooks. Precisely the connections that no one draws in the separated debates, because everyone stays in their field.
The span, from the essence of a possible superintelligence and the question of consciousness and the cosmos to the concrete decision of where a person lives. The architecture, not a linear argument, but a deeply branching decision tree that does not bet on a single scenario. The direction, everything runs toward an action of the individual and their circle, not toward an opinion.
Precisely this connection of greatest abstraction and most concrete preparation, held by a relational doctrine rather than a control logic, is what is particular about this work.
